Keep a practice small enough to repeat
A creative routine does not need to produce a finished piece every day. A five-minute sketch, a colour comparison or a page of lettering can be a complete exercise if its purpose is clear.
Prepare the materials in advance and decide on one question to explore. How does a line change when drawn more slowly? What happens when two colours sit next to each other? Keeping the question small makes it easier to begin.
Review several exercises together rather than judging each immediately. Repetition becomes useful when it reveals a pattern, and rest is part of a sustainable practice too.
